Sunday, June 2 – Dueling Brushes
Paint Annapolis kicks off with Dueling Brushes, our quick draw, from 9 – 11 AM at the Susan B. Campbell Park at City Dock. Artists will have 2 hours to find a spot downtown and finish an original painting from a blank canvas. There will be an exhibition of finished works from 11:30 AM – 2 PM at the Susan B. Campbell Park. Awards will be announced at 1 PM. Participating painters must be registered for Paint Annapolis. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
Tuesday, June 4 – Paint the Bay Reception
Join our Juried Artists at Bay Ridge from 6 – 8 PM after a day of painting for a reception sponsored by PNC. Come see some of the Juried Artists’ first works featuring the lovely Chesapeake on display and enjoy wine and snacks. This reception is free and open to the public.
Wednesday, June 5 – Dusk to Dawn Nocturne Painting
Nocturne Painting will take place from dusk on Wednesday to dawn on Thursday. As you are dining al fresco on the first block of Inner West Street during Dinner Under the Stars, the artists will begin painting their nocturnes. Watching the artists paint is free and open to the public.
Thursday, June 6 – Art on the Avenue
Art on the Avenue will see Maryland Avenue closed to traffic from 4 – 7:30 PM and open to the public for an evening of painting, music, and celebration. Awards will be given out to the pieces that best showcase the architecture of Historic Annapolis.
Friday, June 7 – Collector’s Party and Juried Artist Awards Ceremony
Get a sneak peek at the Paint Annapolis exhibition and the paintings created by the Juried Artists over the past week, meet the Juried Artists, and see which artists won which prizes. Awards for the Juried Artists will be announced at 7 PM. Tickets for this event are $25.
Saturday, June 8 – Exhibition Begins, Opening Reception
The Paint Annapolis Exhibition officially opens today! The Pop Up Gallery and Circle Gallery will be open every day from 11 AM – 5 PM. Join us for the Paint Annapolis Opening Reception from 5 – 7 PM, and get a look at all of the work that has been created since Sunday, June 2. Awards for the Public and Student Artists will be announced at 6 PM. This event is free and open to the public.
Sunday, June 9 – Muffins and Mimosas
The painting is done and now it’s time to relax! Come have breakfast on us and enjoy the wonderful art made over the past week. Muffins and Mimosas will be available at both galleries from 11 AM – 2 PM. This event is free and open to the public.
Wednesday, June 19 – Closing Reception
Join us for one last party celebrating this incredible week of painting! Tonight from 5 – 7 PM is your last chance to view the work created by all the talented artists. This event is free and open to the public.
